Volunteers for Booster projects are always welcome. Our volunteers typically include both members and non-members. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Boosters Club. There are many opportunities available no matter what your interests or your skill level. Below is a calendar of current projects we are working as well as a brief description of each project. If you would like more information please contact:

Boosters Fly the Flags
The Boosters place U.S. flags in downtown Jacksonville and Veteran's Park on federal holidays and other appropriate occasions. Volunteers meet to raise and lower the flags. The Club stores and maintains the flags during the year.
The Jacksonville Boosters Club and Foundation provide and maintain many of the benches located throughout Jacksonville. Benches are found on California Street, Oregon Avenue, and at Doc Griffin Park. Volunteers stain, repair, and replace benches as needed.
Peter Britt Gardens Clean up and Restoration
Working with the City of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Boosters Club and Foundation is renovating Peter Britt Gardens. The white picket fence constructed along 1st Street at the main entrance to Peter Britt Gardens was a Booster Project as well as the ADA accessible paver walkways. Annually, at least 2 clean- ups, plantings, shrub pruning, leaf removal parties are held at Peter Britt Gardens, the original home site of Peter Britt.
Every other year during May, the Jacksonville Boosters Club, working with the Jacksonville Garden Club, conduct home and garden tours. Volunteers take tickets, greet attendees, and act as home docents providing information on the history of the homes and gardens.
Doc Griffin Park
The Booster Club has restored and stained the restroom and picnic facilities at Doc Griffin Park.
Cemetery Clean Up
Jacksonville Boosters Club members volunteer and participate in a quarterly clean up at the Jacksonville Historic Cemetery conducted by the Friends of Jacksonville's Historic Cemetery. For more information see http://www.friendsjvillecemetery.org
